The Oklahoma City Thunder have a blistering start in the ongoing NBA season. They have a remarkable 6-1 record after seven games but immediately stumbles losing their last four games. The recent slip triggers a possible trade deal with the Toronto Raptors early this season.

Many believe that the Thunder will falter after Kevin Durant left the team during the offseason and decide to join the Golden State Warriors. But they prove them wrong having won the six games out of seven to earn the top spot of Western Conference in the early going.

However, the previous four games also prove that they really miss the services of Durant and not depend on solely to Russell Westbrook. The recent slide makes them realize that they do indeed need some upgrade on their roster and it could be the Raptors that could give the needed pieces they're looking for.

According to NBA Trade Rumors machine, a brewing talk between the Toronto Raptors and Oklahoma City Thunder might seal this deal for them. Trade scenario is suggesting that the Thunder will send center Enes Kanter to the Raptors in exchange for guard/forward Terrence Ross and forward/center Patrick Patterson.

Many pundits are saying that this could be perfect for the Thunder team who have now the replacement for Durant. However, many also believe the Raptors will have the losing end of this trade having Kanter who don't have value for the team as per stated in the report.

The Inquisitr further breakdown the validity of this trade on its report. First, the deal pass under the NBA trade rules and salary cap policy as per checking on ESPN NBA Trade Machine making it a legal trade. But looking closely at the deal and as mentioned earlier, the Raptors might get the disadvantage when the trade pushes through.

Moving Ross and Patterson to the Thunder will make the Raptors weak on the forward position. Though they will get a quality backup center for Jonas Valanciunas but the flip side of it is that they look thin in the forward spot having no other player to fill in now that Jared Sullinger is injured.

The deal is reportedly not probable at this moment having thought that the Toronto Raptors will have a big hole to fill at the forward spot but it can be revisited if the Oklahoma City Thunder are willing to add a player that could fill in what the Raptors needed.
