There are reports that claimed that OnePlus 3T will come with 6GB of RAM. However, The Verge believed the new OnePlus phone could be the first phone to come with 8GB RAM.

OnePlus 3T has been in news for quite some time now, so you should take all these reports with a pinch of salt.

OnePlus has twitted a teaser confirming that OnePlus 3T will be powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 821 processor running at 2.35GHz speed. The interesting thing showed on the teaser is a highlighted 'T' at the end, as well as a '7' that could mean days before the launch event or that the device is coming with Android 7.0 Nougat.

The last two post by OnePlus on the Twitter says "More Precision" and "More Power".

If we are to believe The Verge that OnePlus 3T will come with the 8GB RAM, this surely would raise the bar for other smartphone manufacturers with respect to hardware power. However, is the 8GB RAM really necessary in a smartphone, since it probably could end up reducing the battery life? If the report of 8GB RAM is true, let's sit and wait until tomorrow to see how OnePlus will utilize the resources to keep battery consumption in check.

The new phone is expected to have more than less the same configuration as its predecessor. Except the Snapdragon 821, the smartphone is expected to come with 64GB and 128GB internal storage versions.

OnePlus 3T is expected to get an upgraded camera as well. The device will feature a 16-megapixel camera with Sony's new IMX398 sensor.

There are some rumors that OnePlus will put LCD display in the coming smartphones due to the shortage of AMOLED displays. However, the company co-founder Carl Pei said that "OnePlus will be staying with Optic AMOLED displays for the foreseeable future".

The company also confirmed that the OnePlus 3 will receive the Android Nougat beta update this month, so the OnePlus 3T may also come with the same.
