OnePlus One was recently noticed on GeekBench website running Android 7.0 Nougat OS. This suggests that the update will be launched for this device which will be powered by a Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 processor, which supports 3GB of RAM.

Also, the OnePlus 2 was spotted on the other benchmarking website, GFXBench also running Google's latest OS. OnePlus 2's GFXBench report shows the phone running the Android 7.1 with a subtext saying "Invalid CynogenMod (userdebug / test-keys)."

If this Geekbench report is true, OnePlus will definitely surprise its customers by bringing Android Nougat to a smartphone that is two generations old devices. Even though OnePlus was obliged to provide software updates for a maximum of 24 months, OnePlus One that is already more than two and a half years old will get Google's newest Android 7.0 Nougat OS.

The new GeekBench result on OnePlus A0001 (OnePlus One) device shows a 976 single-core score and 2521 multi-core score. The score also shows the phone to be running on Android 7.0.

However, the problem here is the fact that the Snapdragon 801 processor is said to be incompatible with Nougat because it doesn't have the Vulcan graphics API support.

So far, there has been no official announcement that either of the OnePlus smartphones will running the latest Android OS.

Just last month, people spotted the announcement on one of OnePlus's forums that it will be rolling out VoLTE support for the OnePlus 2 model via an OTA update. However, the company hasn't made any announcements of either the OnePlus one or the OnePlus 2 receiving VoLTE support.

According to same reports, OnePlus is also currently working on a new version of the OnePlus 3 that is being called the OnePlus 3T. OnePlus's new smartphone is expected to be released in November and feature an upgraded chipset - the Snapdragon 821. The price tag on the device is also supposed to increase.

It is left to be seen if the owners of OnePlus One and OnePlus 2 will have the luck to update a bit old phones with the Google's newest Android 7.0 Nougat OS.
