Former model Keeley Hazell told FHM magazine that she auditioned for a role in "Fifty Shades of Grey" - twice. The 27-year-old relocated to Los Angeles to focus on an acting and writing career and landed the opportunity to audition for the steamy movie.

So which role was Hazell after? Anastasia Steele! According to the Daily Mail the blonde beauty wanted the lead role opposite Christian Grey but lost to Dakota Johnson (Jamie Dornan will play Christian).

"I auditioned twice for 'Fifty Shades of Grey' - that was a pretty, em, 'interesting experience,'" she said adding that she wasn't upset she didn't land the role.

"I've done some acting stuff - a couple films and other projects," she said. "But the thing I've been most passionate about is my writing."

Hazell told the magazine that she has decided to leave her modeling career behind her to focus on her new passions. Currently she is working on a series with a young female director. Hazell said the project has already been picked up by a production company but it's still in the very early stages.

"In a nutshell it's about a girl from London, who moves to LA and attempts to reinvent herself as the creator of a fashion-focused lifestyle website," she said adding that it's loosely based off her life.

As far as news about "Fifty Shades of Grey," it was rumored that the film, which is based off the erotic trilogy by E.L. James, was going to be condensed to only one film instead of three.

According to the site EFE, a representative for the production company behind "Fifty Shades" said that the project was being downsized but wouldn't reveal why. The source also said that due to weather conditions filming in Vancouver was being cancelled and the set would relocate to Miami.

"The downtown Miami skyline looks a lot like downtown Vancouver," the source said. "Shooting will shift to Tenerife, one of Spain's Canary Islands, in February for the honeymoon scene."

However, Universal Pictures denied the rumors pointing fans to a tweet that E.L. James posted during the summer saying that the movie would be three films.

Do you think Keeley Hazell would have been a better Anastasia Steele than Dakota Johnson?
