Trade rumors start to swirl around the Cleveland Cavaliers nowadays. After Iman Shumpert was reportedly being shopped by the Cavs to other teams, it is the turn of J.R. Smith to hit the spotlight and a trade deal with the Phoenix Suns is likely to happen.

The Cavs have a searing start in the ongoing season having won all six games that they played and the only team that is still unbeaten going into the second week of the current season. But still, many analysts are saying that they still lack a point guard who could be a backup to Kyrie Irving in times that he could be injured.

On the other hand, the Suns are loaded with point guards having Eric Bledsoe, Brandon Knight and rookie Devin Booker on the roster. But it looks like that Bledsoe is the odd one as he has more value than the two heating up speculations that a trade deal with the Cavs is underway.

According to ChattSportsNet.com, a proposed deal that will send Cleveland Cavaliers J.R. Smith to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for Eric Bledsoe is currently in the talks right now. As pointed out earlier, Bledsoe seems to be dispensable to the Suns as they have Knight as the designated starting point guard and Booker as their future point guard. And with the return of Leandro Barbosa, the lineup in the backcourt is now crowded.

Meanwhile, J.R. Smith just recently signed a four-year, $57 million contract with the Cavs but it seems that he is a disappointment to the team averaging only 10.2 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists after five games this season as per stated in the report. And trading Smith to the Suns would give the Cavs what they wish for a solid point guard to support Irving and an added boost on the offensive end.

YIBADA English have earlier reported that the Suns must address their crowded backcourt and the best option is to unload some of them and that points to Eric Bledsoe as a trade bait. And aside from the Cavs, the Philadelphia 76ers could also be a perfect trade partner for the Suns.

The 76ers are also in dire need of a point guard who is excellent in playmaking and that could stabilize their backcourt. The Sixers are also loaded with tradeable assets most especially on the frontcourt having Nerlens Noel, Jahlil Okafor, Joel Embiid and rookie Ben Simmons on the roster.

Will the Cleveland Cavaliers make a move to acquire Eric Bledsoe and send J.R. Smith to the Phoenix Suns?
