NBA trade rumors to the Cleveland Cavaliers never stop most especially to their shooting guard Iman Shumpert. This week, reports are spreading that the Cavs is looking to make a deal with the Sacramento Kings involving their discontented player Rudy Gay.

Expectations are high for the Cavs as they are anticipated to be in the NBA Finals again this season to defend their title against the much-improved Golden State Warriors. Though the Warriors relinquished their title to Cavs last season, they are the biggest winner in the offseason by acquiring superstar Kevin Durant. And now, the Cavs are trying match that with a deal with the Kings.

According to YIBADA English, the Cavs and the Kings might be in current talks as of this moment for a possible trade deal. The proposed deal suggests that Cavs will send Shumpert to Kings in exchange for Rudy Gay. The Cavs might include Mo Williams and Jordan McRae if ever the Kings would reject a direct swap between Shumpert and Gay.

The report also says that Gay have expressed his unhappiness with the current situation of the team and already said that he will leave the Kings next summer as a free agent. This might be the perfect opportunity for the Kings to trade away Gay than lose him for nothing. Will the Cavs bite into this deal?

The Inquisitr are advising otherwise as the Cavs might have to deal Shumpert to an another team for a backup point guard. The Cavs also have to fill in the hole in the point guard spot after Mo Williams announced his early retirement. Though the Cavs have rookie point guard Kay Felder as a backup to Kyrie Irving, many believe that Felder is not ready to fill in if ever Irving will be injured.

The Cavs already lost Matthew Dellavedova when they trade him to Milwaukee Bucks this offseason leaving a gap on PG position. As of this moment, Shumpert and LeBron James are the ones who bringing up the ball whenever Irving is resting.

This scenario is still effective if Irving is healthy but many believe that Irving will most likely miss many games as the season goes along and his replacement will be something to think about. Reports are now suggesting that a possible deal between the Cavs and Minnesota Timberwolves will most likely to happen.

Trade scenario is suggesting that a direct swap between Shumpert and Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio is feasible for both teams but it is not clear if the Timberwolves will agree on this or they would ask for more for Rubio as per stated in the report.

Now, it is in the hands of the Cleveland Cavaliers whether the trade with Sacramento Kings is more valuable or that with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
