The San Francisco 49ers and Chicago Bears are two struggling teams in the NFL today. Both teams are the bottom of the NFC division as their find their way to have a winning record. Many pundits are saying that this is simply because both are lacking in the offensive end and they are just pertaining to the quarterbacks.

Looking at the offensive stats reveals that the analysts are quite correct with their observation. After Week 8, the 49ers offense is just averaging 20.6 points (22nd) and total yards of 290.0 (32nd).

On the other hand, the Bears are averaging 16.4 points (32nd) and total yards of 355.4 (17th) only. The observation sparks speculation that both teams might try to explore their option of changing their roster most especially at QB spot.

According to iSportsTimes the 49ers and Bears might discuss anytime soon the possibility of switching their quarterbacks, Colin Kaepernick and Jay Cutler, this season. Both QBs is not producing impressive numbers and it is easy for their teams to deal them.

The report also says that both teams tried to use their backup QB to somehow change their situation. The 49ers use Blaine Gabbert but it didn't generate a better record. Same goes to the Bears who have Brian Hoyer to take over Cutler's spot but unfortunately Hoyer broke his arm two weeks ago against the Green Bay Packers.

Will this means that the 49ers and Bears will still stick to Kaepernick and Cutler? For now, this could be the best option for both teams as they try to improve their records on the following weeks according to Morning News USA. 49ers head coach Chip Kelly take note that it is not only Kaepernick who is liable to their woes but also the failure of their receivers to catch the ball.

As for the Bears, coach John Fox was caught saying to his friends that he is 'done' with Cutler which the 33-year old QB countered with a statement that coach Fox have 'no choice' but to use him. And with their upset win over the Minnesota Vikings 20-10 last Sunday with Cutler at the helm, coach Fox might think twice of saying negative remarks about their QB.
