Recently photos surfaced of reality star Kim Kardashian with "bald spots" along her hairline. In the photos Kardashian has her hair pulled up into a high bun which clearly shows several bald patches. You could also see Kardashian's attempt to cover the spots with a hair weave.

While some people felt the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star wasn't balding but had simply put her up into a messy bun others felt the photo suggested that she could be losing her hair. According to Radar Online, hair experts believe the patches are the results of pregnancy hormones and rapid weight loss.

"Birth and rapid weight loss are two factors that have triggered Kim's thinning hair and made her opt for hair extensions to boost her diminished hair volume," celebrity hair expert Tatiana Karelina told Radar.

"It is well known that... when you have the baby, most women find they seem to be losing a lot more hair than normal," she continued. "What with the rapid amount of weight Kim lost dieting in the months after the birth, this may have been even accelerated the hair loss, creating sparser looking patches that we can clearly see along the hairline."

Since giving birth to her daughter North West in June, Kanye West's fiancé has been busy shedding her pregnancy weight. In the six months since Nori's birth it's been said that Kardashian has lost 65 pounds. A source told Now magazine that even though she has reached her goal weight Kardashian reportedly still wants to drop a few more pounds.

"She's hit her goal weight but wants to drop to a size 0," the source said. "She also wakes up for daily 5 a.m. workouts and often does another hour in the afternoon."

The source said that E! star is only eating 1,000 calories a day to help her reach a size 0. A few months ago on Twitter, Kardashian told her fans that she initially started to lose the baby weight by doing the Atkins diet, which completely cuts carbs from a person's diet and slowly reintroduces them later on.

"Kim feels confident again. She worked really hard and is so motivated to stay fit," a source told US Weekly.
