Fans of OnePlus can be assured that its smartphone alternatives to technical gadgets by tech leaders such as Apple and Samsung are amazing. OnePlus One with Android 7.0 Nougat too makes an interesting appearance on Geekbench.

Hence, some of the interesting characteristics of the latest Google mobile OS may perhaps be experienced and enjoyed in the 2014 flagship. Even as OnePlus One hit the market in the summer of 2014, with Android 4.4.2 KitKat, it became more attractive some months ago, with its Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. It was assumed then that it would be the end of updates for OnePlus One.

The OEM did not declare that Android 6.0 would be the last OS update for its first smartphone. Still, looking at Google's record of offering updates to the Nexus devices for two years, it was presumed that OnePlus would not be getting Android 7.0 Nougat.

However, the OEM is now preparing a "sweet treat." Recently, OnePlus One was seen at Geekbench. Though it has a single-core score of 976 and multi-core score of 2,521, the features of the new OS was enough to make up.

The phone featured in the benchmark is holstering Android 7.0 Nougat, hence, the company can send the highly anticipated update to the owners, which would be the last update reaching the handset model.

OnePlus has another flagship smartphone that would be out shortly in the coming weeks. The new OnePlus 3T would be a great replacement for the flagship, even as it packs specs upgrades such as a faster CPU and better camera.

For processing power, the OnePlus 3T is using a Snapdragon 821 SoC and 6 GB of RAM, capturing wonderful images through a main camera boosting Sony's IMX398 sensor.

Weibo has put out some speculations on the price, estimating the cost to be about $479.
