The NFL trade deadline will be on November 1 and teams already thinking of making a move based on their current standings.

The contenders are looking to get more quality players and preparing for a deep postseason run. While the losing teams are already looking for next season and assessing which player to let go to get draft picks or a developing star.

The Jets actually started their season decently, losing to Bengals with just 1 point and winning to the Bills. But after starting the season at 1-1, the Jets went on to lose 4 straight weeks.

They lose to the Chiefs, Seahawks, Steelers and Cardinals. And they lose by a wide margin. Although they bounce back to Week 7 after beating the Ravens, the damage has already been done. And postseason this year is getting out of hands.

Trading Sheldon Richardson and Brandon Marshall for draft picks

According to NJ, trading Marshall and Richardson for draft picks might be a good choice for the Jets. That's because if they get this deal done, they will have four draft picks in the first two rounds of the NFL draft next season.

Sheldon Richardson was drafted as the 13th overall pick by the New York Jets in the 2013 NFL draft. He was the first defensive tackle to be drafted that year. He was also named the AP NFL Rookie of the Year in 2013 and selected in the Pro Bowl in 2014.

Brandon Marshall on the other hand was the 119th overall pick in the 2006 NFL draft by the Denver Broncos. Marshall is a very good wide receiver. Because of that, he earned Pro Bowl selection 6 times. He was also selected to the First-team All-Pro in 2012 and Second-team All-Pro in 2013.

Marshall played for 4 different NFL teams in his career. He played to the Denver Broncos from 2006-2009, Miami Dolphins from 2010-2011, Chicago Bears from 2012-2014 and New York Jets from 2015-present.

If the Jets will trade these two quality players, they might have a better chance of getting quality players in next season's NFL

Tony Romo to the New York Jets?

Tony Romo is the starting quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys. But he was injured in a preseason game against the Seahawks. And while he was recovering from his injury, Dak Prescott played very well in place of Romo as the starting quarterback for the Cowboys.

Prescott is playing so good that the Cowboys is first in the NFC East division with a record of 5-1. If Prescott played this good, they are doubts if Romo will be able to replace Prescott as the starting quarterback even if his injury will be healed totally this season.

If this will happen, Romo might just look for a team that is in need of his service. According to earlier report, Romo's possible destination is the New York Jets. The Jets current starting quarterback is Ryan Fitzpatrick. But Fitzpatrick played inconsistently for the Jets.

If they acquire Tony Romo, they will have a very reliable starting quarterback who has a proven skill as a quarterback and has experience of 12 years under his belt.

Although these rumors are possible, no negotiations have been made so far. For now, let these rumors be just rumors.
