Westbrook's 51 carry the Thunder to another W against the Suns, 113-110

Russell Westbrook had another triple-double game as he torched another victory for the Oklahoma City Thunder against the Phoenix Suns in overtime, 113-110.

Westbrook was one assist away from a triple-double on their season opener against the Philadelphia 76ers when he had 32 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists. But on Friday night against the Phoenix Suns, he made sure that he will get his 38th triple-double of his career.

Westbrook tallied 51 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. He also shot 17-44 from the floor and 15-20 from the free-throw line. Westbrook proved to be a one-man wrecking crew for the Thunder. And it was enough to get a victory and give the OKC a 2-0 record to start the season.

Victor Oladipo is the second leading scorer for the Thunder in this game as he scored 21 points on 7-17 shooting from the field and 6-7 from the free-throw line. Andre Roberson contributed with 9 points, 11 rebounds and 5 steals, per ESPN.

T.J. Warren led the Suns with 30 points, 9 rebounds and 3 steals in 46 minutes. Brandon Knight came off the bench to score 19 points on 7-18 shooting and 4-4 from the free-throw line.

The Phoenix Suns will next play the Golden State Warriors on Sunday while the Oklahoma City Thunder will battle with the young Los Angeles Lakers at home on Sunday.

Durant saves the day for the Warriors against the Pelicans, 122-114

Kevin Durant and the Golden State Warriors survived another big night from Anthony Davis as the Warriors bagged their first win of the season, 122-114.

Kevin Durant topped the Warriors in scoring for two consecutive games as he recorded 30 points on 9-19 shooting from the field and 12-12 from the free-throw line. He also contributed a monstrous 17 rebounds to go along with 6 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks.

The other members of the Super 4 of the Golden State Warriors also played well. Klay Thompson had 28 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists. Steph Curry had 23 points and 7 assists. Draymond Green had 8 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists, per ESPN.

Anthony Davis once again had another big game. But once again, the Pelicans lost despite Davis' brilliance.

Davis scored 45 points on 17-31 from the field and 10-14 from the free-throw line. He also contributed 17 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks. Tim Frazier supported Davis' production with 21 points and 10 assists.

The New Orleans Pelicans will go up against Kawhi Leonard and the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday. The Golden State Warriors on the other hand, will test Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns on Sunday.
