The Surface Book is a good device. There were hardly any complaints about the unit. Despite that Microsoft was clearly listening to the few necessary changes to make the device even better.

The new Surface Book i7 is coming with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 965M graphics card that will make it powerful enough for gaming. It also offers 16 hours of battery life for uninterrupted usage, CNET reports.

The original Surface Book could be used for gaming, though it is not ideal for that and also, it hardly compares with its competitors in that sense. But the Surface Book i7, with the new graphic card and 2GB of video memory, made it possible to attract the gamer crowd.

Microsoft is giving redress to all the complaints of its previous model like it could only run for 12 hours when connected to the keyboard base etc. The new Surface Book i7 comes with 30 percent more battery life and thereby gives 16 hours of continues usage to its users.

As Microsoft revealed, the new Surface Book i7 is having a 13.5 Pixel Sense Display and a 3000x2000 pixel resolution. It also powers on Intel core i7 processor. The latest device comes with an option of 16GB of RAM.

The device out of the box will run on Windows 10 Pro that will include a 30-day trial for Microsoft Office. It also features 5 megapixel front camera and an 8 megapixel rear camera.

According to PC World, the biggest upgrade in the Surface Book i7 is the GPU, the original Surface Book used a GeForce GPU with no actual model number attached to it but this time at the rodeo, Microsoft updates the GPU to a GeForce GTX 965M with 2GB of GDDR5.

In this time Nvidia just announced its desktop GeForce GTX 1050 and 1050 Ti that will likely be far more powerful and power efficient. But the Nvidia hasn't released the laptop versions yet, so the Surface Book i7 will have its market.

Microsoft's Surface Book i7 is available now in US for pre-orders. It will be priced at US$2,400 and will start rolling out in November. It should also be noted that the company still not disclosed about its availability in other locations across world.
