Microsoft's Surface PC event took place in New York on Wednesday.

The company announced the latest version of Windows 10 called Creators Update and Surface Book hardware update. The Surface Book laptop and Surface Studio PC aimed at creative professionals.

Here are the highlights of the event

Surface 10 Creators Update:

Microsoft says that it wants to transform computing and enable "3D creativity, mixed reality, and eSports and game broadcasting for everyone." Free update will be available in early 2017. However users with Windows Insiders program will get the update this week. 

Users will able to "start capturing in 3D, printing in 3D, creating in 3D, sharing in 3D, and experiencing mixed reality," says the Microsoft blog. 

Paint 3D will allow its users to create and build 3D objects. Remix 3D, which will be an online community to connect creators and creations around the world and bring 3D content to masses.

The Creators Update features a new game broadcasting service called Beam that has social features and an interactive chat to let spectators suggest the next move.

Surface Studio:

It will be an all in one desktop with features like 4.5 ultra HD 28 inch screen with PixelSense display, 1.3mm thin touch screen, anIntel Core i7 quad-core processor, 2TB Hd and Nivida GeForce GTX 980M graphics.

Surface studio will also have a Surface pen thus supporting real time scribbling on display.

The Surface Dial "integrates with Windows 10 to work with any Surface device for a faster and more intuitive way to scroll, zoom, and navigate," says Microsoft.

Surface Book:

The new surface book comes in a sleeker version with various specifications. It runs on Windows 10 and comes with 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. Sleek screen with 13.5 mm pixel sense screen.

VR headsets :

Microsoft has also announced HP, Acer, Dell and Asus will ship VR headsets capable of mixed reality with the Windows 10 Creators Update.

Microsoft says these headsets won't need "a separate room and complicated setup," and will be truly wire-free. These headsets will start at $299 and will be compatible with more affordable PCs, laptops.
