So the children made actress Angelina Jolie file for divorce proceedings, but now it looks like they are making her try to think again not only about how she can carry it off in court during the divorce proceedings, but also whether she should even go ahead with divorce proceedings or not.

It is reported that she has at least decided to tone down her 'aggressive divorce tactics' against Pitt in order to help her children.

The 41-year-old actress has continuously wanted to prioritize her children, since she announced her split from her 52-year-old husband. "After looking bad in the court of public opinion, Angelina is backing off her aggressive divorce tactics," quoted a source. She seems to be rethinking her plan to divorce him.

Definitely, it is no longer just her personal opinion about the relationship, but public opinion that is swaying her.

"She wanted to expose the truth about Brad being not as sweet and innocent as his fans think but she didn't anticipate such a backlash from close friends and family. Angelina's trusted advisors have pleaded with her to be more gentle in handling the separation and divorce," the report said.

Brad Pitt is reported to be hit hard by the shock. He does not care for his career or anything else at all. What matters to him is remaining with his children. He is reported to be undergoing deep sorrow and alcohol problems, even as he turns to all his friends for help.

"[His] whole life is on hold until he gets his kids back. he truly can't say sorry enough," says a source.

Hence, Angelina and Brad, both being committed parents, are finding that any kind of divorce - gentle or aggressive - cannot benefit their charges, or even themselves.

"Those close to her have also convinced Angie that if she continues to go hard after Brad, the biggest losers will be the people she cares most about, their kids. Her main goal has always been protecting her children," added the source.

Gossip Cop, though, contradicts the entire theory - perhaps based on hope - that Jolie is rethinking her divorce plans. She is determined to go ahead, it says.
