GoPro's final entry in the drone market is now complete with GoPro Karma Drone. The latest Karma Drone is available for purchase on GoPro.
If you have already bought Hero5 Black or Hero5 Session after the launch on Oct 2nd now the only thing you need to buy is the all new GoPro Karma drone. This will save you $800. Also if you are waiting patiently for a track to explode on then buy the GoPro Karma bundle at $1,100 which includes both GoPro Karma and Hero5 Black together.
According to the Phandroid, the optional extras with GoPro Drone includes, GoPro Care for $200, 64GB MicoSD for $60 which can be cheaper on the Amazon and the GoPro Plus for $5 per month with cloud backups for the videos and pictures.
According to the PCAdvisor, Karma to be priced competitively as GoPro is late to the party, and its main rival DJI already has a low-cost drone i.e. the Phantom 3 Standard, which has a stabilised camera that you can buy for £435 on Amazon.
Karma has many features, like a three-axis gimbal, camera stabilizer for stabilising video that can be removed from the drone and used in the included handheld Grip. This is very cheap because even the £719.99 price doesn't include a camera.
GoPro Karma has four arms that can be folded flat and the drone body can be carried for easy transport in a backpack. Controlling the Karma drone is done through a small controller which is a touchscreen and two joysticks. Device has GPS and works on Wi-Fi and radio signals to stay in touch with the controller at up to 1km away.
GoPro is making the drone as easy to use as possible, with its cameras. It also has a cable-cam mode where you can set two points on a map and then drone will automatically fly between the two preset points.
According to reports, the drone has a flight time of about 20 minutes on a single charge of battery. So now you will have to work quickly to get that perfect shot that too within 20 minutes.
For pricing the karma with Hero5 Black camera and extras comes at $1099 whereas its competitor full Mavic kit with remote and extras comes at $1300. So, it is convenient to buy GoPro Karma which is $201 less than Mavic.
