Brad Pitt had just decided not to file a legal response to Angelina Jolie's divorce petition, reports say. Brad missed the deadline of filing a legal response last Wednesday to what Angelina Jolie had filed in court regarding their divorce battle.

According to Daily Mail, Brad Pitt opted not to give a legal response for the sake of the kids. He believes that when he filed a legal answer, it will affect the kids, particularly psychological effect. Furthermore, the actor thus fears a lengthy legal battle with Angelina Jolie as this will bring psychological damage to their six children.

It can be recalled that Pitt will be fighting Angelina regarding the child custody case as he also wants to have a joint legal and physical custody while Jolie aims for sole physical custody.

With the court proceedings, Angelina Jolie could just request for default judgment since Brad missed the deadline. But, it has been reported too that the actress doesn't want a bitter legal battle because she is also thinking of the kids. As an alternative, the couple would likely to agree in settling the divorce case privately.

Meanwhile, Brad Pitt had already reunited with his son Maddox. It was reported before on HNGN, that Maddox refused to see his dad and opted to stay with his mom. Last Wednesday, the actor met with his son and it' the first time Brad meets Maddox face to face since the split and after the rumoured altercation inside the plane.

That said incident is reportedly the cause of the split and which caused Jolie to file for divorce and move into a rented home together with her six kids.

Brad Pitt has already visitations with his kids but in a supervised visit as ordered by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services. The FBI is still in the process of gathering facts to determine if the incident will require full federal investigation.

And according to People, Brad and Angelina have opted to have the custody battle handled by their teams, their legal counsels.

In the course of the divorce and custody battle, both Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are giving due consideration to their kids.
