It's been a trend between Apple and Google likely launching their flagship smart phones every year. However, the system follows the same timeline where it's Apple first and then it's followed by Google.

This time however wasn't any different. Post-Apple event took place in San Francisco and it is time for Google to bring out what they had in store for this year.

It's always been an enthusiastic moment for fans when they eagerly wait for both of the smartphone giants to see what's due from their side every year. However, while Apple event was mediocre, Google had planned much better than expected.

Google expands their technology in terms of not just research but pretty much everything. It was not just phones this time. But consumers see a lot of other hardware which might or might not interest everyone. Both Apple and Google doesn't have their own phone manufacturing unit.

Google brought out their phone which is now completely manufactured by Google, both in terms of hardware choice and software. But in the Android side, till September this year, it's been a trend for Google to partner with different OEMs to bring their phones to the market.

This year, however, things were different with Google partnering with HTC for the Google Pixel phones. The phones come in two variants one in a 5-inch form factor and the other in 5.5-inch.

However, things get crazy here. While buying a Google Pixel directly from their proprietary store, Get to enjoy a promotional code if in-case when wanting to buy their upcoming Daydream VR headset. This is completely different than what's out in the markets currently even though it's a mobile VR hardware.

Google now wants to promote the hardware that they brought in by introducing promotional codes to Pixel consumers as a way to encourage them to try their phone as to how they function in virtual-reality. Daydream VR is currently only supported on the new Pixel phones. The promo code as per Google will be shipped four weeks prior to unit dispatch.
