It is official now. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, the golden couple of Hollywood, have parted ways as the former has filed for divorce, but now it looks like trouble was brewing in their conjugal life for a long time. The two reportedly did not speak to each other on their honeymoon.

Angelina Jolie barely uttered a word to Brad Pitt during their honeymoon as they shot for their drama film "By The Sea," reports The Spectator. She kept quiet during the filming of their movie and so did Pitt, as he would also keep to himself. Sources claim that it was not difficult to sense the tension between the couple as they shot scenes in Malta.

According to an insider, they hardly spoke when they were together and it was not a honeymoon at all. Though Jolie starred with Pitt in the movie and had scenes with him, she allegedly never spent time with him and was not with him during the honeymoon.

Well, this is truly saddening to hear but there is more. It is being said that there is a lot of bad blood between the couple at present and Jolie is mighty miffed with Pitt. As for Mr. Smith, he is reported to be frustrated with his ex-wife as she has been granted full custody of their six children. Though he has a lot of stuff against her that he could use in the divorce case, he is reluctant as he does not want to play dirty.

Meanwhile, it has come to the fore that Jolie underwent a surgery to remove her ovaries and fallopian tubes 18 months before the split, claims US Weekly. The March 2015 surgery had its side effects and the actress had a hard time dealing with the health consequences. She also wrote an op-ed piece in The New York Times regarding the surgery, expressing her fears and apprehensions.

It is worth mentioning here that she underwent a double mastectomy in 2013 as well after she was diagnosed with the BRCA1 gene. Earlier, her mother had died from ovarian cancer after battling the disease for eight long years.
