Apollo 14 astronaut Dr Edgar Mitchell had asked Democratic presidential nominee's campaign manager John Podesta to meet him in order to explore issues related to UFOs and aliens, disclose Wikileaks emails.

One of the emails from Edgar Mitchell, the sixth man to walk on the moon, were related to revealing documents regarding zero-point energy from aliens, in order to help pull out the Earth from global warming.

The aliens are friendly and want to help us, but are afraid of our violent tendencies, said one of the emails. He also fears that a space war threatens us: "Because the War in Space race is heating up, I felt you should be aware of several factors as you and I schedule our Skype talk."

Mitchell claimed that alien life is "the highest form of intelligence that works directly with God." They are wary about contacting humans and will "not tolerate any form of military violence on the planet or in space."

While it is not known whether the meeting took place or not, Podesta has been continuously calling for the government to disclose a lot more information related to UFOs.

"We work with specific [Extraterrestrial Intelligence] ETI from a contiguous universe," an email from Mitchell's representative to Podesta mentioned. "They are nonviolent and in complete obedience to God.  Our ETI's connection to zero point energy is obvious in that their purpose is to guide Edgar's international Quantrek science team to apply their zero point energy research for humanity, to move away from the use of fossil fuels which are so deleterious to our fragile planet."

Apollo 14 landed on the moon on Feb 5, 1971, with Edgar Mitchell, Alan Shepard and Stuart Roosa. Mitchell, the sixth man to walk on the moon, hoped that Podesta's Catholic beliefs would trigger a meeting. Mitchell started the firm Quantrek, which explores alien technology. The email seemed to be an attempt to get Podesta interested in Quantrek.

"Quantrek's science intuitive, Dr. Suzanne Mendelssohn, also a practicing Catholic, advises the Quantrek team as to the specific Tau neutrino which is the foundation for zero point energy, something CERN scientists have begun to study, as well as scientists all over the planet," the email chain adds. "Because of the recent demonstrations addressing the overwhelming issue of climate change, and President Obama's own concern, we feel the timing is perfect to meet with John to map out a plan involving Disclosure and zero point energy."

Podesta had disclosed at the National Press Club in 2002, that he had tried to egg the government to release whatever information it had regarding UFOs.  He also tweeted in 2014 that not succeeding in releasing UFO files was his "biggest failure" of the year.

As Washington Post makes clear: "Podesta is not joking about his interest in alien life. It's not necessarily clear that he knows that there is evidence of alien life buried in a giant wooden box in some government warehouse, but it's clear that he thinks that what does exist should be made public."

Edgar Mitchell had said at the National Press Club in Washington, in 2009: "We are being visited. It is now time to put away this embargo of truth about the alien presence. I call upon our government to open up ... and become a part of this planetary community that is now trying to take our proper role as a spacefaring civilisation."
