Michael Carter-Williams is one of the most mentioned players in NBA trade rumors last offseason. Now, he was officially traded to the Chicago Bulls.

According to the official website of the NBA, the Chicago Bulls have acquired fourth year veteran guard Michael Carter-Williams and sent Tony Snell to the Milwaukee Bucks.

In his rookie season in college, he was a bench player in Syracuse averaging only 2.7 points, 1.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists in just 10.3 minutes per game. But that setback led him to be more serious with basketball.

During the 2012 offseason, he worked out on his game. Aside from lifting weights every day, he would also drink protein shakes to get stronger. He also practice shooting drills every morning and work on his nutrition, per wikipedia.

His hard work during the 2012 offseason paid off. On his sophomore year in Syracuse, he became a starter and averages 11.9 points, 5.0 rebound, 7.3 assists and 2.7 steals in 40 games. At the end of his sophomore year, he earned Associated Press honorable mention All-Americans honors, as well as second-team All-Big East honors. After that year, he decided to turn professional.

Drafted as the 11th overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers, he immediately made an impact. He average 14.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.7 steals in 190 regular season games. He became the 2014 NBA Rookie of the Year.

Since Rajon Rondo will be taking the starting point guard role in Bulls, Carter-Williams can be a good back-up point guard for Rondo. He can also become a sixth man for the Bulls. Something like Manu Ginobili did for the San Antonio Spurs. Who know? Perhaps Carter-Williams fits that role.

On the other hand, Tony Snell is the 20th overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft. In his 3 years with the NBA, he averages 5.3 points, 2.3 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 213 NBA regular season games, per wikipedia. He might also be a good bench player for the Bucks.
