Vikings Season 4 is packed and ready for its return to television to the excitement of its fans. The second half of the season will continue where it left off and show the adventures of the Vikings' legendary hero Ragnar Lothbrock played by Travis Fimmel.

The first half of Season 4 of Vikings ended with a cliffhanger as brothers Ragnar and Rollo were shown to be in a bloody fight. This concluded with Ragnar losing the fight and Rollo becoming the Duke of France after returning to Paris as the victor, as stated by Australia Network News.

Vikings Season 4 will return with "The Outsider" for episode 11. According to some reports, Ragnar goes back to Kattegat after several years due to a time slip. His children are all grown up and ready to rise to the throne that he built from family sacrifices and bloodshed.

What to Expect in  Vikings Season 4.5?

In some reports, the show creator Michael Hirst announced that the second half of the season will be afflicted with the power struggle within Ragnar's family. A competition for supremacy between Ragnar's children will transpire as the heirs desire for the throne.

Vikings Season 4 will introduce the grown-up character of Bjorn, Ragnar's first son from his first wife Lagertha. He will stand against his brother Ivar the Boneless, Ragnar's son from Queen Aslaug.

Also included in the plot of Season 4 is the return of King Ecbert of Wessex and how Ragnar will deal with the unfinished war. These two will have to face a battle to win the throne as there can only be one king in Scandinavia.

The premiere of Vikings Season 4 will be on November 30. The success of the series has guaranteed its renewal for 4 seasons and has been approved for its 5th season with 20 episodes.
