In 2017, Spider-Man, a joint film of Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios will hit theaters. Recently, the comic book hero has appeared in the Captain America: Civil War as a vigilante. His inclusion in that film gained an approval from the fans. Excitement over Spider-Man has brought back previously discarded projects that formed from the comic book franchise. Hints about real news regarding a Venom spin-off is imminent according to an executive from Sony.

"We're working on a lot of that stuff," he said. "There's a concerted effort, so I think there will be real news as opposed to speculated news before too long." According to Collider, news about future Spider-Man spin-offs will be released soon as has been said by the chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment's Motion Picture Group, Tom Rothman.

In the same interview, the executive talked a lot about Spider-Man: Homecoming and how excited he was to be working with Marvel Studios. Rothman was quoted complimenting Sony Pictures' partnership with Marvel, "It's fabulous. We're really excited about it."

He adds, "We wrapped filming the new Spider-Man about a week ago. There's a little pick-up shooting being done now but (it's) pretty much done. It's fantastic."

The Upcoming Spider-man: Homecoming

Fans had been enthusiastic when they heard about the movie and they are very eager to see Homecoming in theaters. The cast and crew that are part of the film have expressed openly regarding the progress of the film on social media and shared periodical updates with fans.

Tom Holland, who will play the titular character Peter Parker aka Spider-Man in the film, expresses his thrill by posting selfies and BTS videos on Instagram with him wearing the Spider-Man's suit.

The fans are excitedly waiting for the release of the trailer for the debut of Spider-Man.
