The Nike HyerAdapat 1.0, an adaptive lacing shoes, will be a footwear industry game-changer. And for those fortunate enough to be in the now, the self-tying shoes Nike Mag HyperAdapt 1.0 will hit shelves in retail stores in a month.

But the release of Nike Mag is not the only exciting thing today. Nike just launched a lottery that would let the sneaker fans buy the HyperAdapt 1.0 for AU$13 or US$10.

The Lottery

The lottery requires the interested participants to purchase a ticket worth AUD 13 (USD 10) from Oct. 4 to Oct. 11 to register. The lottery proceeds will go to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, a non-profit organization named after the star of the film Back to the Future. 89 pairs of the high-cut HyperAdapt 1.0 will be released to fortunate winners of the lottery.

In 2011, USD 10 million was released by the association of Nike and Michael Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research when they auctioned off the first batch of the Nike Mag within 10 days.

The Inspiration

In real life, Michael Fox has the Parkinson's disease. In the film, however, set on futuristic 2015 from the point-of-view of 1989, he wears a Nike power-lacing shoes that have been the inspiration for the manufacture of the high-cut Nike Mag HyperAdapt 1.0.

The HyperAdapt 1.0

The design and technology of the Nike Mag are called "Adaptive Fit" that senses the wearer and adjusts the fit accordingly. Truly, the Nike HyperAdapat 1.0 will be a shoe that will etch a mark in the industry, due to its innovative and futuristic design and use.

The unveiling of this product was held in New York City during the Nike Innovation Event 2016. The HyperAdapt 1.0 will be available in three varying colors at select Nike Stores on Cyber Monday.
