Looking for the latest Android 7.0 Nougat update for Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge?

Good news because it is already confirmed that the latest Android OS for smartphones are already rolling out on the latest Samsung devices.

And it will be sooner rather than later.

GFXBench benchmarked data reveals a Samsung Galaxy S7 already running on Android 7.0 Nougat.

Additionally, Sam Mobile also has benchmarked results from Geekbench for both the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge.

Both GFXBench and Geekbench measure the hardware of smartphones or desktops to give users and developers a clearer view of the devices' power and capabilities. The benchmarked data also reveal performance under real world circumstances.

The Geekbench data also reveals that Exynos 8890 powered Samsung Galaxy S7 are the ones being tested. Hence, the Android 7.0 Nougat update may first arrive in international models. Particularly, in Europe.

However, the data reveal only that Samsung is already testing the latest Android OS in its flagship phone. The actual release of which may be imminent but not urgent.

Samsung users should not worry as Insider has knowledge that Android 7.0 Nougat update will be coming to Samsung devices in the last quarter of 2016.

Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Galaxy Note 5 are to be included in the update in 2016.

Unfortunately, Galaxy Tab S2 will be behind and will get the update in 2017.

Android 7.0 Nougat basic features from Google include VR support or Daydream, which pledges more immersive VR experience. There is also the Quick Switch. In which users can swap to the previous app using the multi-tasking button.

The latest Android OS update also has Multi-window. Users can use to access two apps in the same screen simultaneously. Other exciting features include additional power competence, enhanced Java 8 language support, Google Assistant, smooth updates, push notifications and direct reply notifications.
