Numerous cases of alien sightings have always kept people on their toes, rendering suspense and petrifying the viewers leaving them in utter mystery. While the question of extra-terrestrial beings still craves for answers, the on and off presence of bizarre and absurd reported images made the UFO sightings a total ambiguity.

According to English Physicist Brian Cox, the alien sighting niche will remain a mystery for the years to come. Cox, who is an Advanced Fellow of Particle Physics in the University of Manchester, has maintained that the reason we haven't found any trace of extra-terrestrial beings is because they have most probably followed self-destruction as intelligent life destroys itself not long after it evolves, according to Australian Network News.

Cox added that the technological and scientific advancements all emerged to contact other forms of life in the universe automatically hamper and eventually destroy the political institutions, which manages them. Therefore, leading the civilizations to crash themselves.

Cox also suggested that technology that emanate greenhouses such as carbon dioxide and the ceaseless cases of nuclear weapons could ultimately destroy all kinds of civilizations and the same can unquestionably happen to our planet as well.

Enrico Fermi was the first physicist to point out the dilemma. He was the first one to build the nuclear reactor in 1950 and established that any civilization incorporating and owning nuclear technology can maintain contact with the galaxy in few million years. But unfortunately no one was able to accomplish this, therefore, he concluded that we are the isolated civilization in the galaxy.

Cox said, "One solution to the Fermi paradox is that it is not possible to run a world that has the power to destroy itself and that needs global collaborative solutions to prevent that. It may be that the growth of science and engineering inevitably outstrips the development of political expertise, leading to disaster."

A recent study in January underscored that we have not unearthed aliens yet because they are already dead. Astrobiologists from the Australian National University conveyed that the universe might be enriched with habitable conditions, but evolution does not happen quickly for aliens to adapt it.

Professor Cox has just published a book in collaboration with Jeff Forshaw titled as "A Guide to the Cosmos", which gathers around the concept of Big Bang Theory.
