Having been granted the honor of singing her rendition of "Your Song" at the Royal Wedding, British pop star Ellie Goulding is definitely a fan of the Kate Middleton and Prince William, and in the latest issue of Marie Claire UK, talked the Duke and Duchess and how her not-so-squeaky clean image has evolved in the public eye.

"People might think I am [squeaky clean] but I'm not," Goulding told the magazine. "I've been quite clever about what gets in the press but I've done some stupid things, some reckless things. A few too many drinks have caused a lot of things to happen."

From wearing a daring Julien McDonald split-dress during her performance on the U.K. "X-Factor" to her latest topless photoshoot, the 27-year-old "Burn" singer is certainly not shy when it comes to comes to showing some skin, despite what some fans may have assumed.

As for the opportunity to sing for the Duke and Duchess's first dance, Goulding revealed to Marie Claire: "In the weeks before, everyone I know was talking about the wedding, and I was sat like [puts knuckles in her mouth], trying not to say anything. I kept it to myself for so long - but no one would have believed me anyway. I talked to William and Kate quite a bit. They're just a really awesome couple, lovely people, so I understand why people are fascinated by them. It was a really beautiful night - but then, I haven't been to many weddings."

As for having her own wedding one day, Goulding, who has been linked with Skrillex and One Direction's Niall Horan said coyly, "I quite like being by myself. What's wrong with that?"

And while she may not be squeaky clean, she's definitely sweet.

After her Marie Claire cover shoot, Goulding tweeted, "Thank you @marieclaireuk for having me as your cover girl. It's so, so cool."
