A lot of rumors and speculations have surfaced about "NCIS" Season 14. Among those involving cast member David McCallum on his potential departure from the show and the possibility for the series to meet its end due to the showrunner's death.

On the bright side, CBS has officially released the plot description of Episode 4, "Love Boat."

Rumor has it that series regular David McCallum will no longer be a part of "NCIS" Season 14.

According toMovie News Guide, the police procedural series is reportedly working on a story plot where McCallum's character, Donald "Ducky" Mallard, will lead him to leave NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs'  (Mark Harmon) unit.

Ducky happens to be a doctor and the official medical examiner for the NCIS Major Case Response Team led by Gibbs.

Fans speculated that "NCIS" will likely be axed at CBS. This after the death of showrunner Gary Glasberg and McCallum's official exit, Ecumenical News reported.

As for the official plot synopsis of Episode 4, Spoilers Guide notes, "After the body of a navy lieutenant is discovered aboard a destroyer during a tiger cruise, when civilian guests are allowed to spend the night on the ship, Gibbs, Alexander 'Alex' Quinn  and Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen) travel out to sea to investigate. Also, Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) contemplates the perfect proposal for Delilah Fielding (Margo Harshman)." 

"NCIS" Season 14 Episode 4 is scheduled to premiere on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016, at 8:00 p.m. first and exclusive on CBS Television Network.

"NCIS" is an American action police procedural television series created by Donald P. Bellisario and Don McGill. The story revolves around a fictional team of special agents from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service.
