A lot is expected in "Gotham" Season 3 as the show takes on Donald Trump's "Make America Great Again" campaign and a speculated "Supergirl" Season 2 crossover.

FOX has also officially released the plot description of Episode 4 "Mad City: New Day Rising."

"Gotham" Season 3 is jumping on the hype train as the production crew put on a political twist in the series. According to Zap 2 It, Oswald 'Penguin' Cobblepot's campaign is the show's take on Donald Trump's political campaign.

The villainous crime lord is currently running to be the next mayor of Gotham City with a goal of "Rid Gotham of its monsters. Make Gotham safe again."

Other than that, speculations have surfaced that FOX's "Gotham" and The CW's "Supergirl" will be having a crossover episode.

The talks stemmed when "Supergirl" Season 2 released its "Teaming Up" trailer. The preview trailer showed a family who was caught in a near-death explosion mentioned that they are moving back to Gotham, International Business Times has learned.

As for the official plot synopsis of Episode 4, Hollywood Hills notes, "Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) is going to gain power as he narrows in on the nomination for Aubrey James (Richard Kind), Mayor of Gotham.

In the meantime, James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) will end up turning Alice Tetch (guest star Naian Gonzalez Norvind) into the GCPD (Gotham City Police Department) for the bounty. Also, Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) and Alfred Pennyworth (Sean Pertwee) will race to find Bruce's doppleganger after learning he's assumed Bruce's identity. 

"Gotham" Season 3 Episode 4 is entitled as "Mad City: New Day Rising". The upcoming episode is scheduled to premiere on Monday, Oct. 10, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. first and exclusive on FOX Network.
