Scientists and researchers have come across evidence that leads back to the significant period of Jurassic Park, as footsteps of one of the bulkiest dinosaurs have been excavated after a serious expedition that took place in the vicinity of the Gobi desert.

A joint scientific odyssey led by Mongolian and Japanese researchers discovered a large footprint of a dinosaur measuring from 106cm (42in) long and 77cm (30in) wide, based on the results accumulated by AFP. As per the details gathered by the team of investigators, the footprint is said to have been belonged to Titanosaur, considered as a colossal, long-necked herbivore. Based on further research, it was established that the creature may have been 30 meters (98ft) long and 20 meters (66ft) tall.

The footprint was uncovered back in August in a geologic layer formed between 70m and 90m years ago by examiners from Okayama University of Science and the Mongolian Academy of Science, maintained AFP.

"This is a very rare discovery as it's a well-preserved fossil footprint that is more than a metre long with imprints of its claws," a statement from Okayama University of Science read, according to AFP.

Shinobu Ishigaki, a paleontology professor at Okayama University, told the Japan Times that further studies are being efficiently conducted in order to dig a little deeper into the existence of a mysterious creature.

Scientists also explained the discovery of the footprint- they maintained that it came up naturally by sand after the creature stepped ahead during the muddy ground in the Mongolian Gobi desert, established IB Times.

Back in 2014, a Titanosaur skeleton was discovered in Argentina, hence making it the largest dinosaur ever discovered. A replica of its bones is currently on display in the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.

The team of scientists is striving to exhume much vivid and clear explanation of the beast that once ruled the earth million years ago. They maintained that these discoveries will assist the paleontologists to understand how dinosaurs walked.
