NBA veteran Kevin Garnett recently retired from the league. But reports disclosed that Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue is offering Garnett to be an assistant head coach for the Cavs.

And it seems like KG is interested.

Lue said he had talked to Garnett regarding a position on his staff.

"I talked to him about it. I know his wife is pushing for it a lot," Lue said following practice Thursday. "Brandi is pushing for it, trying to get him to come and coach. He says he's not ready yet. He goes back, 'I might do it,' but he's back and forth. We'll see. But I'd definitely make a spot for him if he wanted to come back and coach," said Lue as quoted by UPROXX.

Garnett, known as "The Big Ticket," played 21 NBA seasons. He played for Minnesota Timberwolves from 1995-2007 and 2015-2016, Boston Celtics from 2007-2013 and Brooklyn Nets from 2013-2015.

During his illustrious career, he averaged 17.8 points, 10.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.4 blocks in 1,462 career games.

He is also the first player in NBA history to reach at least 25,000 points, 10,000 rebounds, 5,000 assists, 1,500 steals and 1,500 blocks.

His 21 seasons with the NBA is tied with Robert Parish and Kevin Willis for the most number of seasons played in the NBA per wikipedia. He could have broken this record easily if he played one more season in Minnesota Timberwolves this 2016-2017 season.

His most notable achievement in the NBA was when he won an NBA Championship when he teamed up with Paul Pierce and Ray Allen to form a big 3 during the 2007-2008 NBA season. He also played 15 NBA All-Star game, became the NBA Most Valuable Player in 2004 and NBA Defensive Player of the Year in 2008.

According also to UPROXX, Tyronn Lue wanted recent Hall of Fame inductee Allen Iverson in his coaching staff too.

The Cleveland Cavaliers is the reigning NBA Champions.

Lebron James and company will do everything they can to win it again this 71st NBA season. If Kevin Garnett would be part of their coaching staff, this would be a big boost for the players. Because as good as KG on the floor, he is also a very good motivator and a good teacher for the game of basketball.
