Cleveland Cavaliers star player Lebron James gave his full support to Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in the upcoming U.S. presidential election. The NBA Superstar was very vocal and emotional in declaring his support to the Democratic contender.

Through his article published on Akron Business Journal, Lebron James elaborated the reason behind his declaration. According to him, it's only Clinton who really understands the struggles of those Americans struggling in their lives most especially those who lack basic needs.

He also narrated in his article the analogy that made him endorse the Democratic candidate. He recounted the difficult times he had when he also struggled in being raised by a single-parent. As a result, in his choice, he hopes that those children who are also experiencing the same.

He further mentioned that he could not afford to see these children falling into the cracks as that could had also happened to him if not for his athletic talent. But not every child possesses that skill, so somehow, something should be done to help them.

"When I look at this year's presidential race, it's clear which candidate believes the same thing," he said.

"Only one person running truly understands the struggles of an Akron child born into poverty. And when I think about the kinds of policies and ideas the kids in my foundation need from our government, the choice is clear. That candidate is Hillary Clinton."

Another reason he pointed out according to The Guardian is that Clinton might be able to continue the legacy of the outgoing president, Barack Obama.

Lebron is the latest high-profile celebrity endorser of Clinton apart from Katy Perry and George Clooney.

Lastly, it can be noted that Lebron instituted a charity for the children; he likewise mentioned that Hillary has been a champion for the children too and this similarity made him like Clinton more.
