Aaron Rodgers had one thing to say to ESPN 540 about the gay rumors alleging he was in a relationship with his former roommate: "I really, really like women."

Rodgers talked to the sports radio broadcast show to axe the rumors, which he found to be "silly" and took the media reports with a grain of salt. According to multiple reports, Rodgers was allegedly dating Kevin Lanflisi, his personal assistant and former roommate.

"Yeah. I'm just gonna say, I'm not gay," Rodgers told ESPN's Jason Wilde. "I really, really like women."

"There's always going to be silly stuff out there in the media and you can't worry too much about it. I don't," Rodgers said, adding, "I think professional is professional and personal is personal and that's how I'm going to keep it."

Before Rodgers commented on the gay rumors, Wilde expressed his own thoughts on the Green Bay Packers quarterback, arguably one of the best in NFL right now.

"I've gotten to know you for a while, I know how you feel about social issues, I know where you stand on certain things. I know you're an intensely private guy. I didn't know if we were gonna address this or not," Wilde said.

"I would say this - that the fact that your private life has remained as private as it has throughout the whole process of you becoming a celebrity - I know how important that is to you, but I also know how much maybe sometimes thing bother you, that if maybe people are disrespectful," Wilde continued. "Not toward you but even toward a group of people. From my perspective, it bothered me that there was some feeling of that it was almost to make you look bad. I don't think that it should be that way. I was disappointed in that."
