There have been rumors spreading around the world of football that Real Madrid wants Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Both Real Madrid's Chairman Florentino Perez and Coach Zinedine Zidane have their eyes fixed on the 2015 African Footballer of the Year, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, for quite some time now.

The rumors actually ignited last January and resurfaced again last June. But Real Madrid failed to do anything yet.

But after the recently concluded duel between the Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund, it seems like Chairman Perez has already found his Galactico in Aubameyang.

In an intense game between the two football clubs, the result is a draw with a score of 2-2. Dortmund striker Aebameyang scored a goal. But so is Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo. According to Fox Sports, Ronaldo gave Aebameyang's son his match-worn shirt. Is Ronaldo just being a nice guy or a move to lure Aebameyang to play for Real Madrid?

Valued at €45 million, the 27-year old is emerging as one of the football's great talent nowadays. He just won the 2015 African Footballer of the Year given by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) after scoring 39 goals last season.

Right now, Read Madrid has a transfer ban which would expire in January 2017. But the mutual interest between the two parties remains the same.

If Aebameyang will play for the Real Madrid he would feel close to home as his mother grew up in Avila, a city located north of Madrid.

Aubameyang said in an interview, "My childhood dream was to play for Real Madrid. I promised my grandfather, who was from Avila some 110 kilometers away from Madrid, that I would play there. I realise that it will not be easy, but is always in the back of my mind," per Goal.com.
