"Please Forgive Me" is Drake's short film exclusively released on Apple Music, as the rapper is seen in a short 23-minute-long action packed thriller. The project that was announced before on an Instagram post, which has now since been deleted, has finally released.

According to reports, the short film has been inspired from the rapper's platinum-selling album, "Views," and was scheduled to released on Sept. 30. However, the film was made available on Monday as an Apple Music exclusive instead.

Needless to say, the film stars Drake in the lead role with co-stars such as Popcaan, Kyla Reid, Fanny Negeusha and Soni Chidiebere. As per a source close to the project, this short fil bears uncanny resemblance to Hollywood's "Indecent Proposal" and "Taken," with a mix of seven songs borrowed from Drake's album, "Views" and original music score by Noah "40" Shebib. For now, the film will remain Apple Music exclusive, until announced otherwise.

"Please Forgive Me" was directed by Anthony Mandler, the famous music video director who has worked with Drake, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Jay Z and Taylor Swift, to name a few. Mandler collaborated with Apple Music head of content, Larry Jackson, to co-write the script and also produce the film, thus giving exclusive rights to Apple Music.

Drake's short film was filmed in Soweto in Johannesburg, South Africa within a week's time in July, before his Summer Sixteen tour began. The viewers can see flamboyant South African vistas packed with tense environment of the film in one tight frame, thanks to Mandler, as Drake is seen living his action-hero dream with a female lead who looks surprisingly a lot like Rihanna.

For all the fans who want to see their favorite rapper in some action-filled sequences, complete with foot-tapping numbers, can watch his short film exclusively on Apple Music.
