Rapper Waka Flocka Flame's younger brother Kayo Redd died on Dec. 29, TMZ reports. The exact cause of death is suspicious with conflicting reports claiming it was either the result of a shooting in his old neighborhood or suicide.

Sources told TMZ that no foul play was suspected in the death and police do not believe it was a homicide. Official details surrounding the death have not released but immediately following the news Waka tweeted - and then deleted - hinting that Kayo had committed suicide, Kollege Kidd reports.

"My F***cking Lil Brother Killed Hisself F***k Lifeee," he posted before deleting it.

Waka's mother and hip-hop manager Debra Antney confirmed the death on Twitter writing "I just lost another son."

When the rapper was 13-years-old, his brother died in a car accident. Antney told Vibe magazine that that Waka took the death hard and the loss had a negative impact on him.

"Since my son died, that's when [Waka] flipped," she said. "He hated everything dealing with school because my son, his death was a sneak out the house to go help a kid with his homework before his father came home, so the kid wouldn't get a beating. Waka told him to go, he'll cover for him. so [when he was biking home and killed by a car] Waka blamed himself. He feels very responsible for my son's death - that's what flipped him out."

Waka also said the same thing in an interview with AceShowBiz.

"That whole period of my life really messed with my head," he said. "I ain't even gonna lie - it killed me as a man. But it also made me stronger as a man in the future."

Sources told TMZ that an autopsy will be performed on Kayo either today or tomorrow.
