Denzel Washington is rumored to land the role of Green Lantern in the movie "Batman Vs. Superman." It was previously rumored that Washington was one of the top picks to play villain Lex Luthor but a source told Nuke the Fridge that the "Training Day" actor is up for the role of John Stewart aka The Green Lantern.

There has been several rumors that the sequel to "Man of Steel" will feature a lot of different superheroes from the DC Comics. So far the superheroes included are Superman (Henry Cavill), Batman (Ben Affleck) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot).

According to Screenrant, there have been rumors that characters like The Flash, Nightwing, Lex Luthor and Doomsday would be making an appearance and actors like Bryan Cranston, Adaam Driver, Jason Mamoa, Joaquin Phoenix, Denzel Washington and Idris Elba are up for the roles.

Recently Gadot spoke about playing Wonder Woman to Israeli show "Good Evening with Gai Pines" saying that she is confident she could pull off the role and isn't worried about fitting the super heroine's body type. There was some concern among fans that Gadot was too slender to play the character.

"I represent the Wonder Woman of the new world. Breasts... anyone can buy for 9,000 shekels and everything is fine. By the way, Wonder Woman is Amazonian, and historically Amazonian women actually had only one breast," she said. "So, if I'd really go by 'by the book'... it'd be problematic."

She said that she has already started training for the role and her fitness regimen consists of Kung Fu, kickboxing, swords and jujutsu.

The "Man of Steel" sequel is scheduled to hit theaters July 17, 2015.
