Google is currently releasing its latest Android 7.0 Nougat only in selected devices.

Looking for the latest Android 7.0 Nougat release for Xperia X Performance, Xperia XA, Xperia XA Ultra, Xperia X, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5, Xperia Z4 Tablet and Xperia Z3+?

Android 7.0 Nougat has some new exciting features including additional power competence, enhanced Java 8 language support, Google Assistant, VR Interface, smooth updates,  new emojis, enhanced file browser, app switch, multi-window, screen zoom, clear all, instant apps, push notifications, direct reply notifications and data saver.

Sony will be making up for the year-long delay of Android 6.0 Marshmallow in some devices. As a way of apologizing, the company announced that Google's latest operating software, Android 7.0 Nougat, will be released early.

The Android 7.0 N will be released for Xperia X Performance, Xperia XA, Xperia XA Ultra, Xperia X, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5, Xperia Z4 Tablet and Xperia Z3+.

However, the Android 7.0 Nougat will likely be only be available first in Sony's newest X-series before the older models including the Z-series. Exact release date has yet to be confirmed by the Japanese technology giant but certainly, it will be before 2016 ends.

Unfortunately, despite earlier claims by Sony, Android 7.0 Nougat will not be available in Sony Z3 Tablet, Z3 Compact and Xperia Z3.

Google is also implementing the same for its own line of smartphones. Although the update will not be available in all Nexus devices. The technology giant already made available the Android 7.0 Nougat for Nexus Player, Nexus 9, Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6, Android One and Pixel C.

You may want to check your smartphone as you will usually be notified if there are already software updates available.
