Michael Schumacher's health is in a critical stage as his family has admitted that he cannot walk. The revelation came when the lawyer of the F1 racer and his family represented their case in a German court.

Felix Damm, the lawyer, said that the world champion formula one driver cannot walk or even stand, after the life-threatening skiing accident that made him immobile two and a half years back, reports claim. The news is definitely a big setback for the legend's fans but it is also a relief because everyone was eager to know the latest about Michael Schumacher's health and this revelation has served their curiosity.

As for the lawsuit, Schumacher's family has filed a case against Bunte magazine as it had reported last year during Christmas that the F1 champion was again mobile. It said, courtesy a source that Schumacher was able to take some steps and also raise an arm with the help of therapists.

When the magazine was published, Schumacher's agent Sabine Kehm issued a statement denying the report and declared that the speculation is irresponsible as his injuries are serious and he needs privacy. Also, it is unfortunate as it gives false hopes to his fans and followers.

Now the matter is in court and it is expected that the magazine will lose the case, reports state. According to the sports news site, the judge, who is presiding over the case, has given hints that the family of Schumacher will be awarded damages worth 40,000 to 100,000 euros. The final verdict is expected to come sometime in October.

It may be mentioned here that Michael Schumacher met with a fatal accident in France in 2013, which led him to go into a medically-induced coma. He remained in that state for six months and later shifted to his home in Switzerland. At home, he was placed under intensive care and a team of doctors is said to be looking after him.

Though his fans have always wanted to know about his health, his family has preferred to keep quiet and does not issue updates, thereby, fuelling the curiosity of admirers and well-wishers.
