It may have started off as rumors, but now it is already confirmed that Google will unveil their newest smartphones on October 4. The announcement has come from Google itself as they release teasers regarding the event.

Google released a short video in YouTube teasing about the likely launch of a smartphone or perhaps, smartphones.  The video begins with the very familiar Google Search Bar which slowly turns into a rectangular shape, more discernible to be a smartphone outline. The video ends with the smartphone outline in between the Oct. 4 date and the "G" logo of Google.

Google also launched a new website with the same image as the last frame in their video teaser. Although there is an option for you to enter your email address so you can be updated about the "devices" from Google.

The URL of the website, made by google, is also pretty significant as it is suggesting that the device to be launched will be in-house. This means that although Google may still be hiring HTC to create the actual smartphones, all other developments and ideas are from the company.

Also, as expected, Google will likely drop the "Nexus" smartphone line to start a new one. This has been rumored for the longest time and seems to be validated by the "G" logo in the teasers.

What can we expect from Google's new smartphones?

Google is expected to launch Pixel X and Pixel XL on October 4. The difference between the two models, X and XL, is very similar with the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

The Pixel X has a smaller 5 inch 1080 display with 2770 mAh battery. While the Pixel XL has a bigger 5.5 inch Quad HD display with 3450 mAh battery.

Aside from the smartphones, Google is also expected to launch a 4K Chromecast, Google Home, Tablet, Pixel Chromebook, Smartwatches and Headset for Daydream VR.
