Big Hero 6 topped the box office on its opening week back in 2014. Everything about this 3D computer-animated film is big because on top of it being a box office hit, it was the big winner of the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature in 2015. It also received positive reviews from the film community. With all these achievements, the announcement of a sequel, Big Hero 7, is not surprising anymore. Fans are more excited to know the release date and the characters who will be reappearing.

Although Walt Disney has yet to make an official announcement about the release of the second installment of the film that won the hearts of kids and adults alike, there are rumors circulating that it will hit the big screen in 2017, but there are speculations that the release date will be in 2019.

Even without the exact release schedule yet, Big Hero fans are really excited to see Hiro Hamada (Ryan Potter), the robotics prodigy who is the main character. They are also expecting to see other cool characters such Honey Lemon (Genesis Rodriguez), Fred (T.J. Miller), GoGo Tomago (Jamie Chung), Wasabi (Damon Wayans Jr.), and of course, the beloved oversized robot Baymax (Scott Adsit).

Another rumor that keeps fans buzzing with excitement is the resurfacing of Tadashi Hamada (Daniel Henney), Hiro's brother who was presumed dead in an explosion while trying to save Professor Robert Callaghan. Rumors have it that Callaghan, who turned out to be the enemy, revives Tadashi and turns him into a villain. There are speculations that Tadashi will return as Sunfire and will have fire manipulation powers.

The famous "Tadashi is here" line of Baymax left the audience thinking that there is something unresolved in Big Hero 6. Fans take note of the fact that Baymax has the ability to sense the biological characteristics of an individual, so that statement may not just mean "Tadashi's memory will live on." It may mean Tadashi is very much alive.
