Guardians of the Galaxy proved to be one of those movies that were highly anticipated and did not disappoint. It was a blockbuster movie in the box-office as well as in the hearts of fans and movie goers when it was released in 2014.

Now that the release of the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is getting nearer and nearer, fans are extremely excited to know if the movie can once more capture their hearts in 2017.

Especially because Marvel treats 2017 as a special year for it is a first for the movie outfit to release three major superhero movies in the same year. Guardians of the Galaxy 2 will kick off 2017 when it is released in cinemas on May 5, 2017. Followed by Spiderman: Homecoming on July 7, 2017 and Thor: Ragnarok on November 3, 2017.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 will be action-packed as usual but moreover, the movie will not be empty in plot and story. The sequel will be heavily focused on family and relationships among the main casts.

Marvel fans are particularly curious about the imminent meeting of Peter Quill or more popularly known as Star Lord and his estranged father, Ego. Actor Chris Pratt, who plays Star Lord in the film, recently discussed the difficulty of the pending father and son reunion to his character. The actor added how Star Lord has been dreaming of meeting his father who may or may not live up to his expectations.

Star Lord's father is played by veteran actor Kurt Russell. Ego is a Living Planet who has a soul and can display a face when he wants to communicate or even take human form when he pleases.

The exciting question which will be answered in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is whether Star Lord's father is a hero or a villain. This is since Ego can be considered naturally villainous as he usually consumes smaller planet.

How will Star Lord and Ego's first meeting and relationship eventually be like? All of these will be answered as Guardians of the Galaxy 2 hits the cinemas on May 5, 2017.
