As details for the upcoming fan-favorite movie "Baywatch" continue to surface, enthusiasm and excitement kept its followers on toes as the revival of the most-popular series is going to be worth-watching.

Bollywood diva and prodigy Priyanka Chopra is all set to lead the upcoming movie, challenging her acting knacks to test as she is gradually climbing the charts in the world of Hollywood.

Gearing up to play Victoria Leeds, this time Priyanka is all prepared to recur as a villain. Another shocking update revealed that her role originally was scripted for a man.

"They were speaking to me about [playing] one of the lifeguards in the film Baywatch and I had a Skype call with [director] Seth Gordon, which was supposed to be 15 minutes and it ended up being 2 hours," she said. "The character that I'm playing, which is the antagonist in Baywatch, was written for man, and then he just changed it and thought that a woman would be really interesting and I ended up playing Victoria."

The cast of the 1989 TV series remake includes Dwayne Johnson as Mitch Buchannon, who acts as a devoted lifeguard and is prepared to tackle any challenge his beach faces. Other than that, Zac Efron will also make an appearance as Matt Brody, who will be encountered as a rival for Dwayne Johnson.

Alex Daddario (Summer), Kelly Rohrbach (CJ Parker), Ilfenesh Hadera (Stephanie Holden), and Jon Bass (Ronnie) are also set to perform, while original cast members David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson are scheduled for cameo roles.

The interesting role she has been allotted is definitely going to glean viewers from across the world. Probably for the first time, the Quantico star seems thrilled and ecstatic to play a negative role opposite Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who is the protagonist in the film.

"The best part of working on Baywatch is to be the villain of the movie," she said. "I don't think The Rock aka Dwayne Johnson has ever had anyone who's been mean to him. He's a great guy, but Victoria is a b-ch." she told India Today

Baywatch will hit the big screens on May 10, 2017.
