An exhilarating news for all the sci-fi enthusiasts as there's plenty in store for all the fiction lovers.

Pacific Rim 2 is just about the corner and the frontmen have dished out a few details which suggests that the sequel to the original Pacific Rim titled as Pacific Rim: Maelstrom is to be broadcasted on 23rd February, 2018 rather than the scheduled date April 2017.

The variation in the release date maintains that the approaching sequel is subjected to a thorough reordering, not only in the cast, but also in terms of direction and production.

The original Pacific Rim movie, under the stewardship of Guillermo del Toro took the lead in the domain of action and jam-packed fiction and now after three years, the frontmen responsible for the sequel are gradually gearing up to finalize the cast and crew of the marvel.

Unfortunately, for Toro's fans, he won't be returning for the sequel, rather, Steven S. DeKnight has taken on the task for its direction and it appears as if it's in good hands as Steven was already the front runner in directing movies such as Daredevil, Spartacus and Angel. Other than that, the script will be formulated by Derek Connolly, the mastermind involved in Jurassic Park.

In terms of cast, good news for the fans of "Star Wars" John Boyega as he is all set to play the lead role as the son of Stacker Pentecost, played by Idris Elba in the original spectacle. Charlie Hunnam's reappearance as one of the main characters of the prequel is under discussion. As per the leaked sources, he might not be returning for the forthcoming sequel.

Along with John Boyega and Scott Eastwood, the sequel has witnessed changes within every department of the movie.
