Taylor Swift is certainly no stranger to whirlwind romance - and her latest with English actor Tom Hiddleston has certainly been not one to shake off.

The 10-time Grammy Award-winning music artist's romance with the Thor star showed no signs of slowing down before their reported split a week ago, concluding a three-month relationship rumors claim was a gimmick. Hiddleston, however, denied that his love for Taylor is fake, according to Hollywood Reporter.

"The truth is that Taylor Swift and I are together, and we're very happy. Thanks for asking," Hiddleston, visibly amused, said in an interview. "That's the truth. It's not a publicity stunt."

US Weekly brought up discussions on a proposal planned by Tom to the Bad Blood star, as per an insider's claims that "Tom is planning to propose very soon...She would definitely say yes." The report even went on to say that the couple even talked about having kids, with Hiddleston even reported to be looking for an engagement ring that time.

Reports doubting the authenticity of "Hiddleswift" surfaced, with the relationship itself came out of nowhere shortly after Taylor ended her year and a half-long romance with Scottish DJ Calvin Harris. Fans spotted her cuddling with Hiddleston on her Rhode Island property days after the breakup.

And just as things are getting real for Taylor and Tom, following reports that she flew her then-beau to Nashville, Tennessee for a meetup with her parents, cold water doused the flames of their short-lived romance. The couple was last seen together on July 27 - more than a month before the breakup was confirmed towards the end of summer.

Gossip Cop, however, presented a different take on the engagement rumor. The celebrity news outlet completely rubbished talks that Tom was planning to settle down with Taylor so soon, with a source close to The Night Manager star debunking claims made by US Weekly.

As of yet, no word from either camp has come out to officially address the reported proposal.
