Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift may be close, but a HollywoodLife insider reveals that Gomez reportedly dislikes Swift's 17-year-old pal Lorde, the latest New Zealand musician to emerge on the pop music scene.

"Selena can't stand Lorde, and has publicly trashed Lorde for not being feminist and supporting other female artists," the source told HollywoodLife.

Outspoken "Royals" singer Lorde has infamously stated that "Taylor Swift is too flawless and unattainable," which she apparently meant to be a compliment and not a diss, and criticized Gomez's hit song "Come & Get It" for having lyrics she found to be anti-feminist, saying, "The theme of her song is, 'When you're ready come and get it from me.' I'm sick of women being portrayed this way."

Gomez responded at the time, firing back that it isn't a feminist move to criticize other female artists. Swift, however, has moved past Lorde's comments and has since befriended the singer, which the insider claims may put a rift in her friendship with Gomez.

"Taylor is buttering up Lorde, because she wants a musical collaboration and knows that Lorde is the hottest new thing in pop music," the source said. "Taylor is blowing off the diss. She wants and edgier image, and Lorde is helping her craft that."
