Marijuana is the most commonly used illegal drug in the world but we are blinded to the fact that marijuan can heal that marijuana can cure disease.

Marijuana use can prevent epileptic seizures, a 2003 study showed.Robert J. DeLorenzo, of Virginia Commonwealth University, gave marijuana extract and synthetic marijuana to epileptic rats. The drugs rid the rats of the seizures for about 10 hours.

Marijuana may be able to slow the progression of alzheimers disease, a study led by kim janda  of the Scripps Research Institute suggests.

The 2006 study, published in the journal molecular pharmaceutics , found that THC, the active chemical in marijuana, slows the formation of amyloid plaques by blocking the enzyme in the brain that makes them. These plaques are what kill brain cells and cause Alzheimer's.

Marijuana alleviates pain, reduces inflammation, and promotes sleep, which may help relieve pain and discomfort to people with rheumatic arthritis, researchers announced in 2011.

Marijuana is already commonly used to alleviate some of the painful symptoms of cancer and chemotherapy, but there's some research suggesting marijuana can reduce tumors.

The european jorna of gastroenterology and hepatology  found that those who smoked marijuana daily were more likely to complete their Hepatitis C therapy--the medications have severe side effects which often causes a patient to stop their treatment regimen.

There was often a stigma that marijuana makes you stupid but researchers have since found that the stereotype was based on correlational evidence, instead of cause and effect. In fact, scientists have found  that those who smoke tend to be more creative.

Marijuana can help reduce this side effect , reducing pain, decreasing nausea, and stirring up the appetite. Also, there are other FDA approved cannabinoid drug that use THC, for the same purposes.
