It all started with an Instagram video posted by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson where he labeled his male co-stars as 'candy asses' in the new installment of the Fast and the Furious movie series.

In the video, Johnson said that he adores his female co-stars but things are totally different when it comes to the male stars of the hit movie.

It was later revealed that he was referring to Vin Diesel as the 'candy-ass' co-actor. The feud was reported to be rooted from a disagreement between The Rock and Vin Diesel about the decisions made by the latter as one of the hit movie's producers.

Sources told TMZ that all of the stars in the movie are now upset over The Rock's ranting in social media. With only little time left in shooting, they are saddened to end the filming this way.

Although some of Johnson's fellow actors have been quiet about the issue, it was Tyrese Gibson who gave his reaction, also through Instagram, that he did not have any problem with The Rock. Mechanic Star Jason Statham in his interview with People said that he likes to keep himself out of the tension between the two actors.

Fans of the movie hope for the good as the two actors reportedly had a meeting to sort things out and possibly, make amends. The meeting was also necessary because of the growing tension in the filming of the movie.

However, an Insider told Life and Style that while there is a hint of truth behind the disagreement between the two well-loved actors, bulk of the drama are all for the promotion of the movie. The insider also specified that this rift will lead to a WWE Match that will, for sure, generate great promotion for their movie.

Fast 8 is scheduled to be released on April 2017.
