Star Wars Episode 8 will be wrapping up the production on July 22. Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) immediately took to Twitter and mentioned about the film's last day of filming.

Now that the film production for Episode 8 is wrapping up, it will still take another year and a half to make the sci-fi sequel truly outstanding as producers, editors, and visual effects coordinators will leave no stones unturned in ensuring high quality cinematic work. Pressured by "The Force Awakens" enormous box office success, Episode 8 creators are likely to make an equally impressive follow-up movie.

Meanwhile, more spoilers are coming out regarding the forthcoming sequel. A report on Star Wars News Net dropped hints regarding Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader's purported Force apparition in the Episode 8 which is reportedly seen as an atonement for his wrongdoings as Lord Darth Vader.

However, an even more exciting revelation is a reference to Rey's rumored lineage. Ian McCaig, a former artistic director of Lucasfilms who work on the previous films' storyboard and concept art, gave fans some teasers concerning Rey's background.

As per McCaig, early drafts of Episode 7: The Force Awakens reportedly included romance teaser between Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson) and Shmi Skywalker (Pernilla August), Anakin's mother. However, the script was immediately dropped in favor of a material that did not contain any prequel-related ideas. Despite Disney's insistence, some of these concepts remain throughout the Star Wars franchise.

With McCaig's statement "now we have a new Skywalker," fans speculate that Rey could be Luke's daughter or she could be connected to the Skywalker family somehow. Another speculation suggest Rey's immaculate birth to a virgin mother through the Force, International Business Times reported.

As the world awaits for Episode 7's big screen release next year, a Star Wars spin-off titled "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" will be hit the theaters on December 16, 2016. "Rogue One" is intended to give fans a bit of history lesson and re-introduce them to the events and characters that made the franchise so hugely successful across different generations.
