According to Ian Begley of ESPN New York, it was Joakim Noah who recruited Courtney Lee to the New York Knicks.

Now Knicks seems to be the team that can truly content for the rings in 2017.

Lately, Free-agent center and Ex-Chicago player Joakim Noah and the New York Knicks agreed on a four-year, $72 million deal.

Knicks front-office members of the Knicks including Phil Jackson, Steve Mills, Jeff Hornacek and several other met with Noah at an Orlando for few hours on Friday night before signing an agreement that will bring Noah to knichs which is also his hometown.

"Dream come true" is how a source close to Noah feels for playing for the Knicks.

Derrick rose also signed with knicks end of June. New York traded center Robin Lopez, guard Jose Calderon and guard Jerian Grant to Chicago, which moved guard Justin Holiday, Rose and a 2017 second-round pick back to the Knicks. Two former Chicago players can now aim for the Championship in New York.

According to Ian Begley of ESPN New York, Noah helped in facilitating the signing of Lee.

"Lee's deal with the Knicks "would not have happened without Joakim Noah," a source close to Lee told Begley. Lee had several offers to decide from and chose New York in part because of Noah's recruitment.

Now Knicks are focusing on making the bench deeper.

"Good talk with him. He's excited, " said Hornacek, the new Knicks head coach.

Hornacek has at least $12 million left cap space to fill up his roster after agreeing with Noah.

"Courtney understands what playing for the New York Knicks means," the source said. "He wanted to play in New York and Joakim Noah was instrumental in recruiting him. Would not have happened without Joakim. Courtney couldn't be more excited."
