CD Projekt RED has just rolled out Patch 1.22 for "The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine" on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It was earlier released on PC. The latest update is intended to fix a number of bugs and other in-game issues.

Previously, gamers were annoyed by a woman constantly following Geralt anywhere he goes which makes her look like a stalker. Another bug that gets in the way of good gaming experience is the inability of camera to hard lock on enemies following the completion of The Warble of a Smitten Knight.

Here is a partial rundown of the Patch 1.22 notes (complete patch notes are available here):

1. Fixes issue whereby a noblewoman in red would sometimes follow Geralt everywhere he goes.

2. Fixes issue whereby body parts would sometimes remain suspended in mid-air after an enemy exploded.

3. Fixes issue whereby players could knock down horses.

4. Fixes exploit whereby Aarding a beehive towards the dwarven blacksmith in White Orchard was possible.

5. Fixes issue whereby Oriana's guard could become translucent during the "Night of Long Fangs" quest.

6. Adds display of food or drink vitality regeneration amount.

7. Fixes issue whereby pressing 'O' would add an unlimited number of Decoy Gwent cards.

8. Fixes issue whereby Oriana's guard could become translucent during the "Night of Long Fangs" quest.

Meanwhile, some PlayStation 4 users discover that The Witcher 3 update 1.22 still hasn't solved a number of issues on the console such as the inability to interact with non-playable characters or quest items. The company explained on their community forums that they are already working to resolve the problem and advice users not to delete their version 1.20 files.

"We've received reports from some gamers playing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on PS4 about not being able to interact with NPCs and quest items after applying patch 1.22. We would like to inform you that we're actively working on addressing this issue and would like to thank you for your patience in the meantime," said CD Projekt Red's Marcin Momot as quoted by PlayStation Lifestyle.

In a related update, Witcher 3's best pastime "Gwent Card" is getting a spinoff standalone version. Unlike Hearthstone, the card game doesn't have mana, health points, or any other external currencies. Like a real-life card game, it largely depends on the player's ability to bluff and come up with deceptive tricks to baffle opponents.

"It's closer to poker, I would say, than other card games," game designer Damien Monnier explained as quoted by The Verge. "It's all about knowing how to manage your hand."
